Character History: When Rex was conceived, his parents were in their early 40s and were not expecting to have another child, since their first child, a daughter named Kimberly, had already started college. They welcomed the pregnancy with open arms (well, Patricia was excited, Kendric thought that she should abort the baby because they had already started saving up for their retirement), and were quite excited to have another child. Even though he had a sibling, they were so far apart in age that Rex felt like he was an only child. He was raised in a loving environment, though he always felt that his parents were much older than his friends' parents. Rex's father was a litigation lawyer in New York City, and they lived just north of Manhattan in Westchester, New York, in an upper middle class neighbhorhood. His mother was a kindergarten teacher, but she retired when Rex was in the fourth grade, so she became a stay at home mother. When he started getting a little older, Rex found out that his father wanted his mother to abort her pregnancy because he didn't want another child. From this point on, his relationship with his father was pretty distant. He always had a close bond with his mother, though. As he began junior high, Rex started experiencing growth spurts, and was much taller than the other boys in his class. He started playing basketball, and quickly excelled in the sport. He also started training in track when he began high school. Academics were never his strong suit, but he always had his basketball to rely on. Rex got into Sparta College on a basketball scholarship, and he has to keep his grades up to maintain his scholarship, so is finally giving school the attempt it deserves. Though he doesn't like his father much, Rex has seen what he does for a living, and wants to take over his father's very successful law firm when his father retires (which should coincide nicely with Rex's graduation from law school). At Sparta College, Rex is a member of the track team and is the star basketball player. He's majoring in political science, and takes some legal studies classes with his distribution requirements so he can pursue his legal aspirations. They went to college together, and Patricia, who became a kindergarten teacher, supported her husband as he entered law school after college. During Kendric's second year of law school, when the couple was 24 years old, Patricia became pregnant with her first child, a daughter named Kimberly. She was an only child until the Adams' became pregnant with their second child almost eighteen years later, during Kimberly's freshman year of college. Rex's mother was 42 when she had him, and was a change of life baby for the couple, who hadn't planned on having another child.	Personality Description: Rex has always been a very cocky and arrogant person, even when he was a young boy. He's too sure of himself in social situations and in athletics, even when he won't excel. He's very much a ladies' man. Since he was in junior high, he has always had a girlfriend or at least a few girls that he was dating. Rex is known for cheating on his girlfriends, but only when they start to get boring. As long as he's entertained by them or enjoys their company and they give him what he wants, he's faithful, but the minute that they bore him, he will stray. It's in his nature, after all. Living up to his Greek God past, Rex is a natural-born leader. He knows how to give a good speech to rile up his peers, and he knows how to affect them and get them to side with him on an issue. When they don't side with him, he seeks revenge. Personality Flaws: Though with some things, like his basketball skills, he has a right to be cocky, in general, he's too arrogant and sure of himself, angering those around him. He assumes that everyone wants to be in his service and that everyone thinks he is the most talented guy in the room. During high school, he was lazy in school, even if he is a smart person. Positive Personality Traits: He is a very good leader, and a suave and charming guy. He's fairly intelligent, even if his high school grades don't reflect it. He is always a good host and a gracious guest, and is a pretty polite person. Rex tries to be a gentleman when he can. Character Strengths: Rex is a talented athlete - his height and adept ball handling skills make him an excellent basketball player, and he's also a very good swimmer (though Sparta has no swimming team) and a fast runner. Rex would also want to mention his skills in bed, but most girls probably already know about that. Character Weaknesses: Rex is terrible at sciences, and needed a tutor all through high school to pass his required science classes.
